A twelve-hour emergency first aid
course designed to meet the needs of those involved
in the care of babies and young children. This course
is fully approved by the Pre-School Learning Alliance
and National Childminding Association and satisfies
the mandatory requirements for those undertaking Modern
Apprenticeships in Early Years Care & Education.

At the end of the course students
will be able to:
- Assess and prioritise a first
aid incident
- Deal with an unconscious child
or baby
- Carry out resuscitation on a child
or baby
- Control bleeding and manage shock
- Recognise and deal with a wide
range of common injuries and illnesses until the arrival
of medical care
