I am pleased to be able to contribute to your website in recognition of your continued support to FMC with regard to our training of staff during the Championships here at The All England Lawn Tennis Club.

The Championships is the single, largest catering event annually in Europe (and possibly the world) with us providing catering 24 hours a day over 13 days. This event attracts over 40,000 spectators every day.

Some of the volumes of food consumed makes Wimbledon a totally unique experience and for our staff an unforgettable occasion. Each Championships we serve well over 12,000 kilos of salmon, 12,500 bottles of Champagne, 80,000 glasses of Pimms as well as 200,000 sandwiches.

The key to the success of the event is dependent upon the quality of staff we employ - which is well in excess of 1,500, many of whom are students. The training of these staff to the highest level is imperative and it is vital that they play their part in our success. Each year I am delighted that you and your team are able to train and develop for us a professional and skilled workforce.

I look forward to this year's Championships knowing that the training of our temporary staff is in capable hands once again.
